2nd Short Writing - 45 points

Our 2nd Short Writing assignment requires you to choose from one of the following prompts:
  • Option X. Use your assigned reading and discussion topic from Feb. 17th's group work and write a summary of your group discussion. State your own personal opinion(s) relative to that meeting. State your team members' opinions. Write about the group consensus. For example: if you were in the Logan movie group you would write your own paper, summarizing the group work, delivering it to the instructor; other group members would write their own paper.
  • Option Y. From the complete list of group prompts and our in-class group discussions, you may write about any discussion topic that you choose, even if it was not one you worked on in a group.
  • Option Z. Compare and contrast how one X-Men character has been depicted in:
    1. one or more comic books, graphic novels;
    2. and once you do that, you may also compare and contrast how they've been depicted in cartoons, anime, and/or movies.
    3. select one hero from: Storm, Bishop, Kitty Pryde (Shadowcat), Dazzler (who was an X-Men and has fought with the X-Men and was originally based on legendary Jamaican-American model, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress Grace Jones), or Phoenix Jean Grey or young Jean Grey, Dani Moonstar, or Magik. Colossus or Wolfsbane are also acceptable.
    4. Focus on the artwork, and how the hero has been depicted, with comparison and contrast of aesthetics: line art, coloring, inking, stylization.
